My Reagan National Defense Forum Panel on the military health system and TRICARE

This weekend I had the great honor of moderating a panel at the renowned and esteemed Reagan National Defense Forum, at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, CA. My panel was titled “Military Health: Are We Providing a Benefit Worthy of the Sacrifice?” My panelists included (L-R): Orie Mullen, President of Humana Military Healthcare Services; Dr. Dov Zakheim, Senior Advisor for the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and former Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller); Vice Admiral Raquel Bono, the Director of the Defense Health Agency; and Rep. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) of the House Armed Services Committee and House Veterans Affairs Committee. It was exciting just to be at the library and museum, sitting underneath President Reagan’s Air Force One; leading the discussion about this important topic was a wonderful bonus. My thanks to the RNDF team, especially Roger Zakheim, for including me on their roster of moderators with such media stars as Margaret Brennan (CBS), David Martin (CBS), Julian Barnes (Wall Street Journal), Trish Regan (Fox Business), Bret Baier (Fox), Jennifer Griffin (Fox), Josh Rogin (Washington Post), and Barbara Starr (CNN).
