Sergeant Major Dailey USA: sequester, poss. benefits cuts making enlisted uneasy

I visited the Pentagon today to meet and interview the Sergeant Major of the US Army, Dan Dailey. We discussed how the sequester and budget debate in Congress is affecting enlisted personnel; how recruitment sometimes overshadows retention, especially in a shrinking Army; and how readiness demands require a new way of evaluating personnel. I recorded the conversation; it will play on my program on Wednesday, September 9, and we’ll archive it on after it plays on the radio.
