Watch (NC8): Light at the end of Congress’s tunnel – budget deal coming?

Despite the partisan divide in Congress, there could be light at the end of the tunnel. Chances for a small-scale budget deal are improving; and that deal could avert another financial battle, and stave off another government shutdown.  House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan and Senate Budget Committee Chairwoman Patty Murray are near a deal.  Also, Healthcare.gov has a big deadline approaching, but many observers don’t think they’ll hit it.  And House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa subpoenas documents from the Office of Personnel Management about security clearances.  I discussed those and other topics on Capitol Insider on NewsChannel 8.
